Forget about Waldo, where will you be?
This is a friendly reminder and clarification about Sunday's "Where's Waldo" picnic after church.
First the reminder - don't forget about the Where's Waldo picnic at Beacon Hill Park at 2:00 pm on Sunday. We are going to be meeting at the picnic tables near the playground (we'll have a map at church on Sunday to help you find the spot).
Now the clarification - this picnic is not just for the youth group. The whole church family is invited. Now, that doesn't mean that everyone who attends will be expected to traipse all over Beacon Hill Park looking for Waldo (or Waldos as the case may be). Feel free to stay put with the other "non-Waldo-ites" or to wander off and pet a goat at the petting zoo.
So put a picnic lunch together and come on out Sunday afternoon to look, or not look, for Waldo.
For those who missed reading Charles' obituary in the newspaper, here it is:

Happy New Year everyone!
Let's celebrate by throwing stuff out. You are invited to tomorrow morning's (Sat., January 5) "Out With The Old" anti-clutter clean-out at the church. We have a number of ongoing and soon to be expanded or new ministries that require us to make more efficient use of the secret and not so secret storage areas of the church, so let's gather at the church building tomorrow morning (beginning at 9:00 am) to clear out stuff we don't use or no longer need around the church. We will also be taking down the Christmas decorations in the church.
And remember, if you are by nature a pack-rat you are welcome to take anything that is being tossed out on the proviso that you must never, ever donate it back to the church in the future.
All around this should be a fun and fulfilling time together. See you there!
This past weekend's Western Round-Up was a huge success! Thank-you to all who worked so hard to make it such a wonderful and fun time not only for our church family, but also for the number of people from the community who dropped by. The idea was right on, the food was great, the pony rides for the kids were smooth and yes, the square dancing was a hoot.
