Please Keep Things Clean and Clear for Our Renters

exclamation markPlease remember that (except for the week of Summer Day Camp) the Child and Family Counselling Association (CAFCA) are renting the church basement from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Monday through Friday.

This means we need to keep that space clean, tidy, and uncluttered for their use as well as not interrupting the privacy of their program while it is underway.

I realize that with our own summer day camp underway next week this means some inconvenience and extra work for Westsiders who have prep work to do for camp, and I thank everyone in advance for their extra effort and consideration to CAFCA.

Westside Bible Church is now a place on Foursquare.com.

If you have a smart-phone, you can join a number of Westsiders who have started playing the online, social media game Foursquare. In Foursquare, you get points for checking into places already registered with Foursquare.com, and even more points if you register a place not entered yet.

Sure, at first glance this all seems like one more online time waster, but if you check in while you are at the church not only will you get points towards the game, but you'll also be able to share what's up at the church with your Facebook and/or Twitter friends - a fun way to share with and lead the people who are following you.

By "checking in" at the church you will also give the church a better profile on foursquare.com.  As other people view locations around Colwood, the church shows to them as a local place to check in.  Think of it as another way to have a presence in our neighbourhood and remind them we are here!

Help Needed With Day Camp Snacks

Not only did we enjoy good food and company, but our wacky auction raised just under $3000 dollars - so make sure you follow through and pay for what you bought!
