 On the evening of May27th, Charles McKnight passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in the comfort of his daughter-law's home. This is a sad loss for our church family and we will miss him dearly. However, it cheers our hearts just to imagine how joyful and at peace he must be now that he is with Jesus his Lord, Savior and Friend. Charles' funeral service will take place at McCall's Funeral Home (1400 Vancouver St.) on Wednesday, May 7 at 1:00 pm. For those who missed reading Charles' obituary in the newspaper, here it is:

Happy New Year everyone!
 Let's celebrate by throwing stuff out. You are invited to tomorrow morning's (Sat., January 5) "Out With The Old" anti-clutter clean-out at the church. We have a number of ongoing and soon to be expanded or new ministries that require us to make more efficient use of the secret and not so secret storage areas of the church, so let's gather at the church building tomorrow morning (beginning at 9:00 am) to clear out stuff we don't use or no longer need around the church. We will also be taking down the Christmas decorations in the church.
And remember, if you are by nature a pack-rat you are welcome to take anything that is being tossed out on the proviso that you must never, ever donate it back to the church in the future.
All around this should be a fun and fulfilling time together. See you there!

This year's adult Christmas dinner party is taking place at the McMillan’s home (3771 Duke Road) on Saturday, December 12 at 6:30pm. It's on GoogleMaps 
Men's breakfast is cancelled on Saturday, April 18th so they can join with everyone else gathering at the church at 9:00am for breakfast with a missionary.
