Greetings to you - our Canadian troops and their families. Chances are you found us from the web address written on the back of the Christmas card you received. We're glad that you took the time to find out who we are. Perhaps the best way to do that is to browse the site. Among some of the things you'll be able to see are photos of your card being made. There are even recordings of some of our services and Pastor Tim's recent sermons. Perhaps you are just curious about why we'd bother to make Christmas cards for you. We pray for the safety of our troops, but we wanted to do something more. Some members of our church family are also part of the military family at CFB Esquimalt; so we know a little of what it is like to have a loved one so far away and how much harder that is at Christmas. If a [handmade] card helps to ease that ache and bring a smile, then it is worth the effort.
It is also our way of saying 'thank you' for your service and sacrifice on behalf of our country and ourselves. We are praying for you. May the light of Jesus, who's birth we celebrate at Christmas, shine on your hearts wherever this finds you today.
