Whether your budget is over stretched or you just want to save some money, bring the clothes (in good condition please) your kids have outgrown and exchange them for clothes that fit.

2010 Summer Splash! (12:30 pm - 4:30 pm)
This year's summer splash at the Yokimas' is tomorrow after church. The weather forecast is for superb weather!
Plan to come on out and enjoy the food, fun and fellowship. There is an indoor pool so bring a swimsuit if you want to go swimming or just bring along a lawn chair to relax and enjoy the afternoon.
If you don't know how to find the Yokimas's home, use the map and directions located here or you can always follow someone from the church.

Pride And Prejudice Potluck (1:30 pm)
Those of you in touch with Norma Millar may know that she recently had a gathering to watch the 1995 BBC production of Pride and Prejudice. Karina Buikema and I were wishing that such a gathering had happened when Norma was still here. Then it occurred to me that I have the DVD set. Why not have our own party? Here are the details: Date Saturday, September 25 Time Begin at 1:30; end at approximately 7:30 (The series is five hours long. Henry Newcombe Memorial (2:00 pm - 4:00 pm)
We are saddened to learn of the passing of Henry Newcombe (Barb Lejeune's father) on Friday, August 20. We pray and trust that God will comfort Barb's mother, Ethel, the Lejeune family, and Barb's brother and sister.
A memorial service celebrating Henry's life will be held at Glad Tidings Church, 1800 Quadra Street, Victoria, at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 27, with time for tea and sharing to follow.
