Prayer Guide

Canada

Canada is one of the most multi-cultural societies in the world. At its heart are the three diverse cultures; French, British and native Canadian. Added to this mix are a significant number of people who have come from Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.  Immigrant communities in Canada continue to grow; Vancouver is the world’s second largest Sikh city and Toronto claims to be the most racially diverse city in the world. Pray for meaningful evangelism, church planting and spiritual growth into these diverse cultures.

We invite you to join us when we gather together.

Welcome to Our Web Site

Thank you for visiting our web site. If this is not your first visit to our site, many of the items and church news items you are used to on the front page have now been moved to new areas (accessible through the links in the left hand column).

If this is your first visit, thank you for checking our site out. We’ve tried (and are still trying) to make as much information as possible available so you can get a good glimpse about what we are all about and like here at Westside. If you still have questions after checking out our site, please contact us and we’ll do all we can to answer what you are wondering.

Please note also, that there is a host of addtional information and items that are available only after you have logged in under your profile. If you don’t yet have a profile, feel free to create one. Not only will that give you access to other parts of the site, it will also set you up to receive important updates, information, and congregational news we send out in our e-newsletter.

A Place for Me?

A Place For Me?A grade school sports field. The department you've been transferred to at work. The neighbourhood you just moved into. A church you are checking out on the web. What do all these places have in common? A question you have asked your whole life: "Is there a place for me?"

The answer at Westside Bible Church: "Yes!"

At Westside you'll never have to worry about being picked last for a team. We don't view church life as a competition. It's a place to help each other grow, not an arena where only the cool people benefit the most.

Bandits Attack Ministry Leader Again

Some of you will remember when David Amune visited Westside on his trip to Canada with Partners International.  Here is some news regarding how we can pray for David and his family.

David Umune leads the Evangelizers Team Ministry in southeastern Nigeria. Last week we asked many of you to pray for the Umune family after armed bandits broke into their home. On Wednesday, David and his wife Hope were victims of another violent attack. As you read the report below, please ask God to comfort and protect them after this traumatic event.

Homegoing of Former AGC President Dr. Don Hamilton
(From the AGC Web Site)

We were saddened to hear the news of the homegoing of Don Hamilton on Saturday March 14th after a long and difficult battle with cancer.  Though we grieve with the family, we do so not as those who have no hope, but with peace in the knowledge that Don is with our Lord whom he loved and served so well.

The AGC owes a large debt of gratitude to Don for his many years of ministry, starting with his formative years at Calvary Church in Toronto, then through over 50 years serving in 6 AGC churches including:
